A Surreal Metamorphosis
This musical piece is driven by an Algorithm built in Pure Data that randomly produces counterpoint from an original twelve-tone row.
The composition features a solo viola part, also derived from the same twelve-tone series, currently rendered using physical modeling synthesis (Swam Viola Solo).
However, it is meant to be performed live on an acoustic viola in the future, reflecting the spirit of 20th-century avant-garde.
The Glitch Sounds were also algorithmically produced in Pure Data and combined with synthetic tones from commercial software.
Visually, the work draws from surrealist aesthetics and taps into the Creative Power of Artificial Intelligence.
Several AI Tools were used to generate the base images, while Luma AI handled video morphing and transformation.
The typical flaws seen in AI-Generated imagery were intentionally embraced as expressive components, establishing a conversation between Controlled Error and Artistic Intent.
Use of AI
AI was utilized to generate the visual components of the Artwork through morphing techniques.
Multiple AI systems were employed; first to create the initial images, then Luma AI was specifically used to produce the video and morphing effects.
